Checkpoint: Bridge Tower

The Old Town Bridge Tower is considered one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Europe.

It was built together with the bridge by Emperor Charles IV. in the middle of the 14th century. The tower used to be a symbolic triumphal arch through which the Czech kings passed on their coronation route.

138 steps lead to the gallery of the tower, the height of the tower is 47 meters above the level of the bridge, above the surface of the Vltava it is 57 meters, the corner towers are located at a height of 64 meters. The tower has a rich sculptural and stone decoration.
